Same sex marriage to attract 14 years jail term

 

 

They have now pass a Law that Same sex marriage  in Nigeria is prohibited and anybody caught risks 14 years jail term.
People who attend or witness the marriage risk 10 years jail term.

Senator Ita Enang,  in his contribution, said the bill will be forwarded to the House of Representatives for concurrent passage, adding the passage of the bill into law by the National Assembly was part of the effort to ensure that Nigerians were in good health condition.

He also stressed that passing the bill into law will be a signal to other countries.
A female senator, Nkechi Nwogu,   informed  that 14 years jail term for same sex marriage was unanimous decision by the all senators because the country culture, tradition and the religions in the country is against it.

She said:  “Same sex marriage has negative effect on the health of anyone that involved in it. It was unanimous decision by the Senate to pass the bill into law. It is very unfortunate that the western countries want to force their culture on us.”
