Eva Ekvall at seventeen (17) was crowned Miss Venezuela at age in 2000 and she became the third runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico the following year.
She later extend her God given talent where she went on to work as a model, actress, TV news anchor and author, eventually becoming one of her home country’s greatest cancer charity advocates after she was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in February 2010.
She leaves behind a husband and a two year old daughter.

The former beauty queen, whose mum is Jamaican and dad an American of Swedish and Hungarian descent, died on Saturday in a Houston, Texas hospital after a two year struggle with the disease.
